My firts work, the Vertical yacare XML menu butons need to be more smoother.

To modify this example, you need to go to the library, and:
-Go to “buttons” folder the library. You can modify easily this Movie Clips (link_mc for the sub-menu items, menu_mc and menu_mc_fondo for the menu items)
-Go to “background” folder. Here is the background jpg.
-The “text” folder, you can find the menu effect.
The menu is generate from the XML, width XmlMenu.as.

There are very very good classes for creating tweens in AS2 (a example is the tweener class).
You can build this effect using classes, but, -a tweener class only, without xml and swf files- have 97KB approximately.
The adventage to use this menu is its size. The .as + .xml + .swf file weighs just 10Kb (whitout a jpg background). This is loaded practically on the instant.
